Continuing to translate Non-no articles which paired both Ohno and Sho; here's another one from the series.
The theme "Sweets" was given by Jun, which he think befitting for the issue to be published during "White Day season". For this Ohno and Sho challenged themselves to make cookies to be used as the title for the article in this issue; Ohno was excited as he decorated his cookies while Sho was quite nervous and careful as he did his.
[*On the image below, Ohno's cookie is the one with Arashi kanji character and Sho's the one with ARS and roman number 2]

O: Yeap, you got that right. Though to some extent, the one who usually reaches for confectioneries is Nino......
S: It's not only limited to sweets ne. As for me, whenever I feel a bit peckish I would naturally seek for things such as dried plums and shiokara (salted fish guts) XD. Of course, it's just that it's not in our habit and that we're not following the trends; but everyone loves sweets too, I guess. So, does Satoshi-kun has any particular sweets that you have special attachment to?
O: When I was in my teens, it was tiramisu. I often used to eat the ones I bought from convenience store naa.
S: I have loved Swiss roll since long time ago, even now I would end up buying it impulsively sometimes. Which reminds me, last year we've received lots of cakes for our 10th year anniversary, ne?
O: Must have been the most number eaten in my life so far!
S: The two of us were reassuring each other "Cake is really delicious, right!" xD.
O: (Speaking earnestly) Nowadays, sweets are really tasty, isn't it? The other day I ate a famous Baumkuchen that was recommended by a friend, it totally opened up my eyes.
S: Me too, I've been able to eat chocolate upon waking up and becoming fan to waffles served as refreshments. Perhaps bit by bit I've come to realize the influence of sweets. Though I don't think I will ever be on par with girls' level of passion for them. If I was asked to go to places with long queues, I think I would respond with "I'll just wait in the car." XD.
O: Surely everything just strike their preferences; from the sweetness to the cute appearances. Even my sister loves them and she can even make them herself. What's more, she's very good at it.
S: That's amazing! I admire those who can make confectioneries. By the way, with White Day coming up; do you have any memories related to it?
O: Last year it was during drama filming, so I gave my co-stars drawings I made as return gifts.
S: That's so cool~ As for me, when I was in elementary school I've given Nagoya Grampus Eight's mug after much distress. I thought that choosing the gift that I would feel most happy receiving; is the best form of sincerity. (bitter smile)
O: What is really the right present to give(for White Day)?
S: You would wonder, right? XD Apparently candies and marshmallow seems to be the standard item.
O: (Surprised) So it's not white chocolate. I wonder if the other three could figure out what it is?
S: What do you suppose? Somehow I can imagine Aiba-chan choosing animal-shaped cookies.
O: I have a feeling that Matsujun would make something himself. Confectionery for adults that would go well with alcoholic beverages.
S: Nino would probably go for the win by being witty; using white-colored item. What would you do, Satoshi-kun?
O: Hmm... (sparkle-eyes) Ah, we'll go fishing together. Then, I'll give white fish as gift.
S: Waa, how well-composed! Well then, I'll better find a new mug... Wait, can we really wrap it up like this? XD

S: To be honest, I'm not the type to eat sweets often. Come to think of it, isn't it the same for all the 5 of us in Arashi?

Date: 2014-09-27 06:59 pm (UTC)And in a corner of Satoshi's room, there's some weird mug tucked in that doesn't even have anything to do with White Day. But, it's the thought that counts, I guess. ✨
So adorable, the possibilities for these two~! Thank you so much for sharing this~! *hugs* 😭

Date: 2014-09-28 03:28 am (UTC)I totally love how Ohno's idea didn't follow a standard traditional way for White Day's celebration; like you can so totally imagine these two men in that setting, since Sho doesn't care much for sweets as much as the next girl *ahem*
The mug in Ohno's room could be something Sho considered artsy; better yet, Sho can make his own design! Ohno would love that for sure, since he doesn't care much for White Day like most ppl in Japan. (well, that's what he said in HnA, right?)
Who knows there's so much 'plot bunnies' in such innocent talks between two men abt sweets? *coughs*
Thanks for reading and sharing your beautiful thoughts on it! *hugs*

Date: 2014-09-27 10:29 pm (UTC)Dawww Ohno, how cute, that actually reminded me the time Sho mentioned when they went fishing and Ohno had everything to spend the time (Anishi)... it could be.
Thanks a lot for sharing darling, this section was really sweet <33

Date: 2014-09-28 03:33 am (UTC)That fishing idea was adorable, right? and who else would be the best for Ohno to do that with; aside from Sho? Knowing how miraculous Sho usually is when it comes to fishing with Ohno... he'll probably caught a white fish on his own and Ohno can say to him "That's my White Day present for you." Ngh.
<33 Thank you for reading and commenting, dearest!
