Now, I think it's realistic to say that Ohno isn't well-known to give birthday presents promptly (as another member has already testified to that here). So it came as a wonderful surprise when I read this; his motivation was as plain as day xD. It makes me happy too because it shows that it isn't one-sided. Either that or Sho figured it's the best way to get presents from Ohno as quick as possible :P.

2015.03.18: RADIO SHOW (ARASHI DISCOVERY) - BECAUSE IT'S WARM~

If in the previous post was the first time Ohno revealed his birthday present to Sho to the public, this time we get to listen to him talking about it in his radio show.

”あそう、あったかいといえばね。ちょっと前だけど。
うちのメンバー、翔っ、翔ちゃん。翔ちゃんにね、あの～誕生日プレゼントとして。
あの～釣りの長靴をプレゼントしました。
まぁ翔くんもなんかたまに。年に１回ぐらい言ってるっぽいから最近。
釣りの長靴とか欲しいって言ってたんだけど。
ほんで釣具屋であったかい、また中もねふわふわなの入ってるやつで。
で、僕自分の持ってんのちょっと重かったから。
あ、これあんまり重すぎてもダメだなぁと思って。
ちょっと軽めっ軽いやつでいい感じのを選んでね。
その他にもね、あの、手袋。と、あとキャップに耳当てがもそのままついてるやつ。
プレゼントしたんですけども。
ちなみにあれはあの僕も。一緒に買ったんだよね？
オソロイってゆうか。”

2015.03.27: MAGAZINE (TV LIFE) - "WHAT'S UP WITH YOUR FISHING (DATE) PLANS?"

From the regular corner where Arashi members are paired to talk about the recently aired Arashi ni Shiyagare episodes; this is a small part where one question submitted by readers will be chosen and answered by the pair. Somehow I have this fan in my twitter; it's awesome to know a fellow diehard yamapair fan submitting a question that I'm sure most of yamapair shippers would love to know too. And thanks to that, this time we get Sho talking about the birthday present he received from Ohno. Good job!

一緒に釣りに行く話はどうなりましたか？（カスタ／１６歳／三重県）

大野：一緒に行きたいねっていう話はしたのかな。
櫻井：でもまだ行けてない。大野さんから誕生日に欲しいものを聞かれて「釣り用の何か」って言ったら、３日後に長靴と手袋と帽子をくれたの。釣り自体はね、昨年１度行って楽しかったからまた行きたいなとは思ってるんだけど。
大野：もし２人で行くなら…場所もどこでもいいし、釣る魚も何でもいいんじゃない？全部オススメだから！(笑)
