2011 MARCH: MAGAZINE (TV GUIDE) - FEEL GOOD STORY

Taken from TV Guide, published in 23rd March 2011 issue. They had a 'pairing talk' segment, where each pairing has to choose a single theme from 25 offered and talk about it within 3 minutes.

           

櫻井：これ、ちょっとイイ話なんですけど…。この前、智くんと俺共通の友達何人かと皆で飲んだんだよね。
大野：そうそう行ったんだよね。
櫻井：で、友達が俺をサプライズで登場させたいって言って。でも俺は仕事終りで合流するから遅くなるし、その頃にはできあがった空気になってるだろうから、とりあえず友達に「智くんには俺が行くことは教えておいて」ってメールで伝えたの。そしたら「大野くんが『オイラはメンバーが来てくれるなら誰でも嬉しいよ。』っていてる」ってメールが来て…。なんか感動しちゃった。
大野：でも、そりやそうだよ、気まずいことも何もないしさ（笑）。
櫻井：そのメールを「（ＮＥＷＳ）ＺＥＲＯ」の本番前にもらったから、なんだか温かい気持ちに包まれながら本番を迎えることができました。
大野：みんなでテレビ見てたけど、キレイに輝きながら登場したもんね。うわ～～って。すごかった！（笑）
櫻井：ハハハ。でもいろいろ話したよね。久しぶりに昔話とかもいっぱいしたし。「ウエスト・サイド・ストーリー」（舞台・０４年）の話とか…。
大野：まぁ、次の日までお酒が残った…ってオチがあったけど（笑）、すごく楽しかったよね。また行こうよ。ハイ、じゃあ終～了～！
櫻井：さすがタイムキーパー・大野。３分でピッタリの対談でしたぁ～！

S: This is a slightly 'feel good' story (that I wanted to share)... Before this, Satoshi-kun and I drank out together with a number of mutual friends.
O: Yeah, yeah we did.
S: I told them that I wanted to appear as a surprise (to Ohno). However, since I can only do so after my work's done, I'll be late; thinking they all might be very drunk by that time, I sent an e-mail to my friend just in case; "Please inform Satoshi-kun that I'll be joining later". Then I received a reply: "Ohno-kun said 'A fellow member coming to see me makes me happy. Anyone would have been.' ". I couldn't help but feel deeply moved, somehow.
O: But, that's how it should be, isn't it. There's nothing awkward about that at all XD.
S: Because I received the e-mail just before appearing on "NEWS ZERO"; I was able to appear on-air, engulfed by such a warm feeling.  
O: We were watching him on TV, he appeared with such beautiful radiance. I went "Woww~~~". That was amazing! XD
S: Hahaha~ we talked about various things, didn't we? Including past stories that we haven't been reminiscing for quite a while too. Things like "West Side Story" (stageplay in 2004)...
O: Well, we ended up with hangover the next day XD. But it was so much fun! Lets do it again. Okay, time's up~
S: As expected from Ohno The Timekeeper. There you go, a talk which took exactly 3-minutes~!

- 仲良く並び、共通の知人を通じて一緒に飲んだ "ちょっとイイ話" を。時に目を見合わせては笑い合う "ほっこりトーク" を展開する２人からはマイナスアイオンが溢れていました。

++ A conversation that is heartwarming and wholesome, even to those who are simply observing ++ 

A 'slightly feel-good' story, when they had drinks together with mutual friends. Occasionally exchanging glances, sharing laughter/smiles, these two who were having this heartwarming talk had 'minus ions' overflowing from them.

T/N: 'Minus ion' is used to depict something that has 'healing' effects (or wholesome)
