--Sometimes it's just easier to use twitter or old LJ communities if they're still around.-- I agree, I also don't think I'm willing to jump on another 'entrance test' for the same comm that moved to DW xD
Aiba Sugoroku was one of the finest thing that ever graced this earth, even if you're one of the very rare ppl who got baited into Arashi through that ^^.
That's quite refreshing; I'm always curious of what goes into the mind when one first discover something new and then making the decision whether to dismiss it as a random encounter or making that plunge into the unknown and eventually gotten stuck in it xD
I got into Arashi in 2005, after watching Gokusen 1; my twin got curious and found out that one of the main guy is a member of Arashi. The interesting thing was that we saw Nino's drama a few months before that, so when we also saw him in Arashi, it probably adds to the curiosity. Tho it was only after I met another Arashi fan(who ws an angel <3) that I decided to become a fan. I went to their concert in Taipei for AAA 2008; but that was it ^^.
I dont remember ever taking a break from following Arashi and their regular shows for the whole decade. So it was really a huge thing when I stopped doing that, as if my whole life routine changed. Haha, sorry that sounds a bit too dramatic, I have to admit.
It was an 'amiable separation' though, it's not like I left the fandom in a huff due something that happened but I just woke up one day and stopped.
Right now I'm into Johnny's WEST. I can tell you though, that I used to have such a strong prejudice against them when I was following Arashi for many reasons that was actually baseless. >.<
So eventually I got 'smacked in the face' for having such flawed thoughts xD haha. The rest is history.
