That's why I make it a point to reply on all the comments I receive, to remind myself of how challenging that can be.
^This. This exactly. I try to reply to every single comment someone leaves me, even if someone comes through and leaves a comment on a ton of different entries all in one go. I also thank everyone who leaves me comments, even if it sounds kind of cheesy because, hey, I really do appreciate the effort, even for simple comments.

The last time I was on a plane (and it was also the first time I ever traveled by plane) it was to see honooko while she was living in South Korea. This fandom has taken me more places around the world in 4 years than the rest of my life. o_o

And don't worry about being a stalker, I honestly kind of have to laugh (happily and good naturedly!) when people say such things to us because it's kind of incredibly that it's something people even think about. Someone left a comment over at Stand A Little Closer once saying that she thought of nicefinalbeam and I as one being, we just jelled so well together in her mind. I just... That's hilarious and wonderful to me, and also a little baffling. So I'm definitely excited to see her and spend some much-awaited time together.

It seems like providing transcriptions along with translations is becoming a more frequent thing in this fandom, and I think it's a wonderful, wonderful trend for all of the reasons you listed. So yeah, since you wondered if anyone gets anything out of it, I definitely do!
