2003 DECEMBER: MAGAZINE (WINK UP) - MESSAGES
Thank you to all of you lovelies for reading all our entries so far, and we're so happy to be seeing comments throughout, they do make this place feel so much more like home now. As we're approaching a special date this week, I'm aiming to be posting more regularly as a sort of 'warming up' for that special day.
Now, in this said issue of Wink Up, the members talked about other members, so let's see what these two said about each other:
Ohno → Sho
The time when I started talking to Sho-kun properly was probably just before I went to Kyoto. Then when Sho-kun came to Kyoto, I have the memory of everyone staying till very late chatting throughout.
Since we've been together for such a long time, I knew very well about his growth. I was able to observe not only the physical but also the internal (changes).
Somehow in the beginning, he used to be such a bullied character; saying things like "So noisy~~" and often appearing depressed XD. Although I was only watching without doing the bullying.
When we were Jrs. our state of progress slightly resembled each other; we used to be in Musical Academy together, so I was grateful that Sho-kun is also in Arashi.
Why is it, I wonder... Sho-kun is the most comforting; or should I say, the easiest to talk to. Whatever it was in my mind I can simply tell him without consciously thinking about whether I can talk about it or not.
In regards to that, he never ridiculed me; and because that's how he is naturally, maybe that's why I can talk about everything to him.
Basically, I have nothing that I wanted him to change (for the better); but we have this thing we called 'accent dance' where we have to dance to background sounds like BAM! BAM! That person can't do it... or maybe he couldn't remember when it comes to actual performance; that guy HAHAHAHA.
He memorised it but during the actual thing, he would do something else completely different.
But he's all resolved about it, y'know XD. With a face that looks like he's the one irritated(with us) instead, and since his facial expression shows confidently that; "Hey, I'm totally nailing this! (while you guys danced wrongly)", it even made the fans think that "Ah, he's really dancing it correctly?".
That's really sneaky of him, right? XD
Sho → Ohno
Lately, what I often thought of is, (Ohno is) really smart. No matter what kind of topic that came up, he would give a perfect punchline to it. Even without thinking much of it at all, it turned out interesting; and now he's also observing the situation.
And then, Ohno-kun, for (after-program/concert event) he'd get all excited on his own, seems like he's having a really good time XD. Furthermore, staffs whom he rarely could meet and even those whom he met for the first time, he would proactively start conversing (with them). That part is what I find charming about him XD.
Ohno-kun and I generally get on the same rides/transports together. It's been 4 years since we've debuted. 5-6 years from now on; if we compile those small accumulated (moments); most probably the time we spent together would be significantly more compared to other members XD. During those times, although not a single word uttered (between us), but somehow I can be at peace. Well... from now on, lets ride together XD.
Come to think of it, lately those guys (the members) had been hanging out together at random times, right? The other day too, we had lunch; I had to leave after that since I had something else I had to attend to, but the other 4 went together for karaoke and made a CD.
On the (CD) jacket was written "Sho-kun"; (the recordings in the CD had) Aiba-chan singing "Konya Boogie Back" as opening song, and in the end they sang enthusiastically to Naotaro Moriyama's "Natsu no Owari" which they considered as a remembrance song when the 4 of them went to Hakone together last time.
To wrap it up, Aiba-chan said, "Sho-kun is the one who puts Arashi in proper order~", Matsujun said, "Arashi is 5 members~", while Ohno-kun said something like, "Sho-kun, come whenever~" XD.
The souvenir from Hakone was a hand-molded plate, apparently the one who paid for it was Ohno-kun; but I guess I also don't really get that patronizing side of him XD.

大野智 → 櫻井翔
翔くんとちゃんとしゃべったのは、たぶんボクが京都行くちょっとまえぐらい。で、翔くんとかが京都来たときに、みんなでホテルで夜遅くまでずっと話してた記憶がある。
翔くんはつきあいが長いのもあって、すげー成長過程わかる人なの。身長も含め、内面的にもそれが見える。
最初はなんかね、イジられキャラみたいなところがあって、「うるせぇよぉ」みたいに言って、よくヘコんでたイメージがある（笑）。オレはイジらないで見てるほうだったけど。
ジュニアのとき進み具合も少し似てるし、ＭＡとも一緒だったし、翔くんが嵐にいてよかったなってのはあるんだよね。
なんだろう・・・翔くんは一番ラクっていうか、話しやすい。なんでもパッと言えちゃう感じというか、「これ、話そうかな」とか考えずに言えちゃうんだよね。
それに関しても何もバカにとかしないし、それが自然な人だから、なんでも話せるのかもしれない。
基本的に直してほしいところとかはないけど、バン、バンって音をバックに踊るアクセントダンスっていうのがあるんだけど、本番になっても絶対に覚えないというか、あれができない人なんですよ、あの人は・・・ガハハハ！
覚えるんだけど、本番になったら、全然違うことしたりすんの。
でも、キメてるんですよ（笑）。ちょっと逆ギレみたいな顔っていうか、堂々と「オレはできてる！」みたいな表情をしてるから、ファンの人にも「あ、できてる？」って思わせてるという。
あれはズルいよね（笑）。

櫻井翔 → 大野智
最近すごく思うのが、頭いいなぁーって。話をふっても、きちんと落としてくれるんだよね。なんにも考えないでもおもしろいのに、最近は状況も見てるからね。
あと大野くんてさ、打ち上げでひとりで打ち上がっちゃって、ものすごい楽しそうなのね（笑）。しかも、ふだんなかなか会えないスタッフや、そこで初めて会う人とかと積極的にしゃべろうとしてて。
そういうところはステキですね（笑）。
オレ、移動の車がたいがい大野くんと一緒なのね。デビューして４年。これからも５年６年てなっていくほど、その小さな蓄積がたまって、たぶんふたり一緒にいる時間がほかのメンバーよりも多くなるはずなんだ（笑）。
そういうときってひとこともしゃべんないけど、なんか落ち着くんだよね。まぁ、これからも一緒に移動しましょう（笑）。
そういえばさ、最近あの人たちやたら出かけようとしてるでしょ？このあいだも飯食って、オレは用事あるから帰ったけど、４人はカラオケ行ってＣＤ作ってきたの。
ジャケットに「翔くん」とか書いてあって、相葉ちゃんの『今夜はブギーバック』で幕を開け、最後は４人で箱根行った時の思い出の曲っていう森山直太朗の『夏の終わり』を熱唱。
しまいには相葉ちゃんが「翔くんが嵐をまとめてると思いまーっす！」
松潤が「嵐は５人で嵐だと思います」
大野くんが「翔くん、いつになったら来るんだよぉー」とかって（笑）。
箱根のお土産は楽焼の皿だったけど、その金を大野くんが出したとかって、その恩着せがましいとこもよく分からないでしょ（笑）。

Yeah, Aiba sang that song in that CD; I also wondered how it sounded like :D
Additional (early) info for commenting here *winks* xD Apparently inside the same CD, Ohno was rapping to RIP SLYME's "RAKUEN BABY". Ohno attempting to rap for a CD that was dedicated to Sho... how adorable is that?
Haha, Sho... I recalled him mentioning about this in a tv show? That he missed out a tempo while he was performing on-stage and so all the dance sequence went out of order so he got frustrated with himself and started moving however he liked instead (obviously with a seriousface xD).
Most probably Ohno was noticing the exact same thing too xD. Nothing escapes that sleepy-head when it comes to Sho; I guess.

Despite it being only 2003, I love how Ohno admits he's always been observing Sho in and out ever since Jr. times, and how he related it to how this is a unique history for the two of them among Arashi. No wonder they feel so married xD And Sho dear also covered that! how they're always together for the rides since before debut. The Hakone trip is such a lovely episode, feels like Papa and kids going on a trip, and Papa ends up paying.

Yeah, I always love it when they reminisced about the old times and still remembered how it was when they interacted with each other back then; because really, there seemed to be so many memories that slipped their minds sometimes.
The Hakone trip was really adorable; the kids taking turns to drive the car since their father don't drive xD. I bet they kept wondering how fun it would be like if Sho was with them. It never occured to me before that Ohno wd be the one paying for that Hakone's souvenir; it made that UMARERU clip so much more amusing xD
