2011 APR: MAGAZINE (NON-NO) - "KOTATSU TALK"
Hey again beloveds, with all the amazing recent stuffs coming up; I'm so sorry to break it to you that I'm posting another 'classic' from Non-no. I hope the fact that it's still on the cold side in Japan that I'm permitted to assume that this is still at least 'in-season'.
Accepting the order from Nino who said: "I want to see the two of them being at ease in the kotatsu!", Sakurai-kun & Ohno-kun appeared in relaxed mode. They immediately got into the kotatsu, ate the mandarin oranges and played with the kitten. The shooting location all at once turned into therapeutic space of excellent comfort ♡. It's now time for the pleasant talk that provides warm feelings during cold winter ♪
S: Today's photo-shoot made me feel so blissful. The kotatsu is warm, the oranges are delicious and the kitten is adorable, it's just so perfect! ♪
O: That's right, that's right. (observing the kitten jumping about) Y'know, I have high respect for cats.
S: AHAHA! Why's that? XD
O: I think they have amazing agility (smiles sweetly). Because, just when you thought they've curled themselves up like a ball, unmoving; all of the sudden they started running with incredible speed, right?
S: I see, you meant to say that they have excellent on-off switch ne XD. By the way, what's Satoshi-kun's memories regarding kotatsu?
O: In the past, in the mornings when it becomes cold, I would put my school uniform inside the kotatsu to warm it up before wearing it.
S: That's so clever! I didn't have kotatsu at my home, see. But my grandpa's house has a sunken kotatsu[=low table over a hole in the floor].
O: How niceee. I've longed for sunken kotatsu. The first time got into one, I was deeply moved.
S: I really loved it too. Every time the relatives get together during New Year's holiday, the kids would play underneath it while the grown-ups having their drinks. It became the place of relaxation and refreshment for the family. Eventually though, it became my main duty to take my grandpa who had fallen asleep at the sunken kotatsu; to his room XD.
O: Aah~ kotatsu; once you get into one it feels so good that it's hard to leave it, you'll end up dozing ne.
S: Yeah, I agree. Now, if I have kotatsu at my place, I'll totally succumb to its temptation. It's probably a good thing that I don't have space for it XD.
O: From now on too when I'm in my room, I'll weather through the winter, wearing only thick clothes XD.
S: Come to think of it, kotatsu season also mean birthday season for us, isn't it? I've also finally reached the final year of being in my 20s... I think it's about time, I want to become a 'proper adult'.
O: For instance, in what aspect?
S: These days I've been cleaning up my place, but it takes too much time that I can't seem to finish it up. I've been thinking that I shouldn't keep on like that; among other things.
O: (with triumphant look) Ah, my place now, it's super neat y'know. I had done my best cleaning it up.
S: Well done! As for me, I have just barely managed to make my living room comfortable. Once I started, I won't stop; diligently sorting out things daily.
O: Speaking of birthdays, last year my birthday was celebrated by so many people at our concert, I was so happy.
S: (remembering something) Ah, I haven't given my present to Satoshi-kun yet!... hey, our conversation today is completely 'natural' ne xD.
O: Even if all 5 members of Arashi get into the kotatsu, we'll probably end up spending time in a completely relaxed manner like this.
S: Satoshi-kun and Nino will be side by side, glued to each other XD. Then perhaps the other 3 of us will sit as we please, getting excited over whimsical talks.
O: And before we knew it, we all dozed off. That would be awesome too xD.
「こたつで和む2人が見たい！」という二宮くんのオーダーを受けて、リラックスムードで現れた櫻井くんＸ大野くん。すぐに一緒にこたつに入って、みかんを食べたり子猫とじゃれ合ったり。現場は、たちまち居心地抜群の癒し系空間に♡ 寒い冬にぬくもりを感じさせてくれる、ほっこりトークの始まり♪
櫻井：今日の撮影、幸せな気分になれたなぁ。こたつはあったかいし、みかんはおいしいし、猫は可愛いし、もう完璧♪
大野：ホントホント。（跳ね回る子猫を見ながら）オレはね、猫を尊敬してるの。
櫻井：あはは！どういうこと（笑）？
大野：身のこなしがすごいなって（にっこり）。だって、丸くなってじっと動かずにいるかと思ったら、いきなりものすごい速さで走りだしたりするでしょ。
櫻井：なるほど、オンオフの切り替えが見事だってことですね（笑）。ところで、智くんのこたつにまつわる思い出は？
大野：昔は、寒くなると毎朝、こたつに制服を入れて温めてから着替えてた。
櫻井：それ、賢いね！オレの家にはこたつはなかったんだよなぁ。でも田舎のおじいちゃん家には掘りごたつがあって。
大野：いいねぇ。掘りごたつって憧れだったよ。初めて入った時、感動したもん。
櫻井：オレも大好きだった。年末年始に親戚が集まるたびに、子どもたちがもぐって遊んだり大人たちがお酒を飲んだり。゛家族の憩いの場″になってたの。そのうちオレには、掘りごたつで寝ちゃうおじちゃんを部屋まで連れていくという、重要任務が与えられたんだけど（笑）。
大野：あぁ～、こたつって、一度入ると気持ちよすぎてなかなか出られないから、ついそのままウトウトしちゃうんだよね。
櫻井：そうそう。今、自分の部屋にこたつがあったら、絶対誘惑に負けちゃうよ。置き場がなくて助かったかも（笑）。
大野：これからも自分の部屋では、ひたすら厚着して冬を乗り切ろうっと（笑）。
櫻井：そういえば、オレたちにとっては゛こたつのシーズン＝誕生日シーズン″じゃない？オレもついに20代最後の年を迎えたんだけど……そろそろ、゛ちゃんとした大人″になりたいと思ってさ。
大野：例えば、どういう点で？
櫻井：最近、ずっと部屋を掃除してるんだけど、時間がかかって全然終わらなくて。このままじゃダメだなぁ、とか。
大野：（得意顔で）あ、オレ、今は部屋、超キレイだよ。がんばって片づけたの。
櫻井：偉い！オレは、やっとリビングが快適になったところ。いざ始めると止まらなくて、毎日せっせと整理してる。
大野：誕生日といえば、オレは去年、コンサートでたくさんの人に祝ってもらったのがうれしかったなぁ（しみじみ）。
櫻井：（思い出して）あっ、智くんのプレゼント、まだ渡せてないや！……って、今日の会話、完全に゛素″だね（笑）。
大野：嵐の5人でこたつに入っても、こんな感じでまったり過ごしちゃいそう。
櫻井：智くんとニノは隣同士で密着（笑）。あとの3人は思い思いに座って、とりとめのない話で盛り上がるんだろうな。
大野：いつの間にかみんなでうたた寝しちゃったりして。それも最高だよね（笑）。
