2006.05.20: Radioshow (SHO BEAT) - "HOW I MET YOUR LEADER"

It's another snippet from SHO BEAT too this time, where he answered a listener's question; this was mentioned in a magazine's crosstalk which toumei  had already posted here.

「翔くんはジャニーズ事務所に入ってから新しくできた友達は、どんな風に接してくれましたか？　是非教えてください。 」

あのね、僕、事務所入ったの14, 13歳ん時で、中学 2年生ん時だったんだけど、それくらいの時期にいろんなとこから、いろんな子が集まってから、ホントに人種のるつぼみたいな感じになってて。　

で、あのー、今よく覚えてるのが、初めて先輩のコンサートツアーにつかせてもらったことがあるんですよ。なかなか、そのー、東京だったり、横浜アリーナだったり、そこの関東でやる時にその場所だけ呼ばれることはあっても、ツアー一緒に回れるってのは、なかなかそう　入ったすぐにはなかったわけですよ。　

で、当時、多分あれ、最初北海道だったと思うんだけど、同期の米花、MA の米花と一緒にツアーにつかせてもらったんですよ。

で、米花と一緒部屋で、夜寝ます、と。　「ドンドンドン、ドン!」「ドンドンドン、ドン!」　「ガチャ!」っと開けたら大野君ともう一人が、浴衣着たままズカズカ部屋に入ってきて、
「婆さんやー」「爺さんやー」、「何だい、婆さん」「何だい、爺さん」みたいにミニコントひとしきりやって出て行っちゃって。

で当時大野君て言ったらオレより1年前に入ってる先輩だから、もうちょっー、あんましゃべったりとかもなかったの。

いきなり、初めてツアーについた後輩の部屋に入り込み、ミニコントをやって帰ってた大野智には、もう感動して、「この人は本当にすごい」と思いましたね、あの瞬間。

で、そういうのは、やっぱ、中高生ぐらいの、何ていうの、もう暴れたい時期にいったらツアーで 1月全然外にでれないからホテルの中で遊ぶんですよ。　オレもジュニアの友達と3人、4人ぐらいかな？ギター持っていろんな部屋に「トゥルー・ラブ・ツアー」ってわけわかんないのやって、あと、一番迷惑だったのが「フリーダム・ツアー」っていうの別のやつやって、人が寝てるのを、あのね、とんねるずが歌ってたのかな、野猿かな？「フリーダム」って曲があったんだけど、それを寝てる奴の横で歌ってたたき起こすっていうのがは流行っゃって、最悪でしたけどね。

だからねー、ジャニーズ事務所に入ってから新しくできた友達とどんな風に接したか覚えてないんだけど、大野智がどんな風に登場したかよく覚えてましたね。そんな感じです。

-- How did you make new friends when you entered Johnny's? Please tell us. --

"Well, you see; I entered the agency when I was 13-14 years old, during the time when I was in 2nd year in middle school, around that time, kids from various places gathered, so it really became like a human melting pot.

Then, err... what I could recall very well now is that I got the chance to follow a senior's concert tour for the first time. That's a rather rare... well, even though I was called to perform when (the concerts) were done in Kantou area like Tokyo or Yokohama Arena; but I didn't get to follow a full tour so soon after I entered.

Then, at the time; perhaps the first one was in Hokkaido, I was following a tour with my peer Yonehana, Musical Academy's Yonehana.

Shared a room with Yonehana, when we were about to sleep at night; we heard banging on the door "BAM BAM BAM, BAM! BAM BAM BAM, BAM!" and when the door clicked open, Ohno-kun with another guy; both wearing a yukata making a rude entrance into the room, doing a mini skit like: "Hey, granny~" "Hey, grandpa~" "What's up granny?" "What's up grandpa?". They did that for a while before they left.

Since Ohno-kun is the senior who entered (the agency) a year before I did, we hardly even spoken to each other at the time. So to see him entering the room of his juniors who were in their first ever tour all of a sudden to do a mini skit; that really moved me, I thought at that very moment "This person is truly amazing!"

Such things, well of course, the middle and high-schoolers were... well, how should I put it, they were already in this riotous phase; when they follow a tour, they couldn't go out for a month so they played around in the hotel. Even I, with 3 or 4 friends in Johnny's Jr., I think? With guitars; we went to other rooms and 'performed' for the nonsensical "True Love Tour", and then the most troublesome was "Freedom Tour" which was another group who, to the people who sleep... well there was one song titled "Freedom", sung by Tunnels? Was it by Yaen? Singing that song right beside those who were sleeping, rousing them up from bed became such a craze; but it was the most terrible.

That's why, I can't recall how I came in contact with new friends when I entered Johnny's Agency; but I remembered very well how Ohno Satoshi made an appearance. That's how it was."
